1931 — Ibn Nājiya informed us, saying: Abd Allah ibn Umar ibn Abān narrated to us, saying: Abū al-Muhayyā al-Taymī narrated to us, from Umar ibn Buzay, who said: Alī ibn Abd Allah ibn ⦗2449⦘ Abbās heard me as I was about to revile Muāwiya—may Allah be pleased with him—and said, “Wait! Do not revile him, for he was related to the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—by marriage.”
