1927 — Ibn Nājiya also informed us, saying: Muhammad ibn Qudāma al-Jawharī and Muhammad ibn Abī al-Walīd al-Fahhām narrated to us, saying: al-Waddāh ibn Hassān narrated to us, saying: al-Wazīr ibn Abd Allah narrated to us, saying: Abū Ubayd Allah al-Qurqusānī narrated to us. Ibn al-Fahhām, however, said: “From Ghālib ibn Ubayd Allah al-Uqaylī.” Both related it from Atā, from Abū Hurayra, who said: The Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—gave Muāwiya—may Allah be pleased with him—an arrow and said, “Meet me with this in Paradise.” Ibn al-Fahhām’s wording was: The Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—handed Muāwiya an arrow and said, “Take this until you come to me with it in Paradise.”
