1913 — Abū al-Qāsim Abd Allah ibn Muhammad al-Baghawī narrated to us, saying: ⦗2436⦘ Ibrāhīm ibn Hāni al-Naysābūrī narrated to us, saying: Abū Sālih Abd Allah ibn Sālih narrated to me, saying: Muawiya ibn Sālih narrated to me, from Yūnus ibn Sayf, from al-Hārith ibn Ziyād, from Abū Ruhm, who heard al-Irbād ibn Sāriya say: The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—invited us to the pre-dawn meal during Ramadan and said, “Come to the blessed morning meal.” He added: I also heard him say, “O Allah, teach Muawiya writing and arithmetic, and protect him from the punishment.”
١٩١٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَغَوِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ⦗٢٤٣٦⦘ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَانِئٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو صَالِحٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ , عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ سَيْفٍ , عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ , عَنْ أَبِي رُهْمٍ , أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عِرْبَاضَ بْنَ سَارِيَةَ يَقُولُ: دَعَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِلَى السَّحُورِ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فَقَالَ: «هَلُمُّوا إِلَى الْغَدَاءِ الْمُبَارَكِ» فَقَالَ: وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: «اللَّهُمَّ عَلِّمْ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِسَابَ وَقِهِ الْعَذَابَ»
