1888 — Ibn Abd al-Hamīd also narrated to us: Abū Mūsā narrated to us: Uthmān ibn Umar narrated to us: Yūnus informed us, from al-Zuhrī, from Urwah, from Aisha, who said: “By Allah, I saw the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—standing at the door of my chamber while the Abyssinians played with their spears in the Mosque of the Messenger of Allah. The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—screened me with his cloak so that I could watch them play. He then remained standing for a while, until I myself chose to leave. So take due account of a young girl, still tender in years and eager for amusement.”
