Al-Shariah li-al-AjurriAl-Ajurri

1887 — Abū Ahmad Hārūn ibn Yūsuf narrated to us: Ibn Abī Umar narrated to us: Abd al-Wahhāb narrated to us, from Ayyūb, from Abū Qilābah, from Aisha: Some people were playing, and Aisha—may Allah have mercy on her—looked out to watch them. Abū Bakr—may Allah be pleased with him—rebuked her. The Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—then came while she was crying and asked, “What is the matter with you?” She replied, “Leave me alone.” He said, “You will not be left alone.” She then told him what had happened, and he said to her, “Get up and watch.” She stood, and the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—brought her head beneath his arms. The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—remained standing until I began to feel sorry for him because he had stood for so long.
