1879 — Abū Bakr Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn Abd al-Hamīd al-Wāsitī narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn al-Muthannā Abū Mūsā al-Zaman narrated to us, saying: Abū Muāwiya narrated to us, saying: al-Amash narrated to us, from Ibrāhīm, from al-Aswad, from Āisha (may Allah have mercy upon her), who said: “The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) married her when she was nine years old—meaning that she was nine when he consummated the marriage with her—⦗2399⦘ and he died while she was eighteen years old.”
