1871 — Ibn Makhlad also narrated to us, saying: Rawh ibn al-Faraj ibn Zakariyyā, Abū Hātim al-Muaddib, narrated to us, saying: Abū Tālib Abd al-Jabbār ibn Āsim narrated to us, saying: Shuayb ibn ⦗2390⦘ Ishāq narrated to us, from Hishām ibn Urwa, who said: My father narrated to me, saying: “The people used to pray toward the grave, so Umar ibn Abd al-Azīz (may Allah have mercy on him) ordered that it be raised so that the people would not pray there. When it was demolished, a foot, a shin, and a neck became visible.” He said: “Umar ibn Abd al-Azīz was alarmed by this. Urwa then came to him and said, ‘This is Umar’s shin and knee (may Allah be pleased with him),’ whereupon Umar ibn Abd al-Azīz was relieved.” Muhammad ibn al-Husayn (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “There is another narration of this report describing it differently.”
