Abū Dāwūd said: “I asked Ahmad ibn Sālih about someone who says, ‘The Quran is the speech of Allah,’ but says neither ‘uncreated’ nor ‘created.’ He replied, ‘Such a person is in doubt, and whoever doubts is an unbeliever.’”
