1846 — Abū Bakr al-Mutarriz also narrated to us, saying: Ibrāhīm ibn Hātim narrated to us, saying: Hammād ibn Zayd narrated to us, from Ayyūb, from Abū Qilāba, that ‘Ā’isha—may Allah have mercy on her—⦗2366⦘ saw in a dream what appeared to be a moon hurtling down from the sky and falling into her chamber, then another moon, and then another—three moons. She related the dream to Abū Bakr—may Allah be pleased with him—who said, “If your dream proves true, three of the best people on earth will be buried in your house”—or he said, “in your chamber.”

Ayyūb said: Abū Yazīd al-Madīnī narrated to me, saying: When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, died and was buried, Abū Bakr—may Allah be pleased with him—said, “O ‘Ā’isha, this is the best of your moons.”
