1840 — Abū Ja‘far Ahmad ibn Khālid al-Bardha‘ī narrated to us in the Sacred Mosque, saying: Muhammad ibn Sulaymān, the maternal grandson of Matar al-Warrāq, narrated to us, saying: ‘Ubayd Allah ibn Mūsā narrated to us, from Isrā’īl, from Abū Ishāq, from ‘Āmir ibn Sa‘d, from Mu‘āwiyah ibn Abī Sufyān—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, died at the age of sixty-three; Abū Bakr died at the age of sixty-three, and ‘Umar died at the age of sixty-three.
