1803 — Abū Saīd narrated to us. He said: Mutayn al-Kūfī narrated to us. He said: Musarrif ibn Amr narrated to us. He said: Yūnus ibn Bukayr narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishāq, who said: I heard Abū Jafar say, “Whoever fails to recognize the merit of Abū Bakr and Umar—may Allah be pleased with them both—has failed to understand the Sunnah.”
