1791 — Abū Ahmad Hārūn ibn Yūsuf narrated to us: Ibn Abī Umar al-Adanī narrated to us: Bishr ibn al-Sarī narrated to us: Hammād ibn Zayd narrated to us, from Thābit, from Anas, who related that when the people of Yemen came to the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—they said, “Send with us someone who will teach us.” He then took Abū Ubayda ibn al-Jarrāh by the hand and sent him with them, saying, “This is the trustworthy one of this nation.”
