1769 — Abū Bakr ibn Abī Dāwūd narrated to us, saying: Ahmad ibn Abd al-Wāhid ⦗2288⦘ ibn Abbūd al-Dimashqī narrated to us, saying: Marwān ibn Muhammad narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Azīz ibn Muhammad narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Rahmān ibn Humayd ibn Abd al-Rahmān ibn Awf narrated to us, from his father, from Sa‘īd ibn Zayd ibn Amr ibn Nufayl, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—say: “Ten men from Quraysh are in Paradise: Abū Bakr, Umar, Uthmān, Alī, Talha, al-Zubayr, Abū Ubayda ibn al-Jarrāh, Sa‘d ibn Abī Waqqās, and Abd al-Rahmān ibn Awf.” He said: He remained silent concerning the tenth. He said: They held that it was he himself.
١٧٦٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي دَاوُدَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ ⦗٢٢٨٨⦘ بْنِ عَبَّودٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: «عَشَرَةٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ؛ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَطَلْحَةُ وَالزُّبَيْرُ وَأَبُوعُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ وَسَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ» , قَالَ: وَسَكَتَ عَنِ الْعَاشِرِ , قَالَ: يَرَوْنَ أَنَّهُ نَفْسُهُ
