1742 — Abū Muhammad Abd Allāh ibn Muhammad ibn Nājiya informed us: Abd Allāh ibn Umar ibn Abān narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us: Zakariyyā ibn Abī Zāʾida narrated to us, from Atiyya al-Awfī, that Kaʿb took hold of al-Abbās’s hand, may Allah be pleased with him, and said, “I am reserving this for intercession.” Al-Abbās asked, “But is intercession granted to anyone other than the prophets?” He replied, “Yes. There is no member of a prophet’s household who will not have the power of intercession.”
