1733 — Abū Bakr Qāsim ibn Zakariyyā al-Mutarriz narrated to us: Ibrāhīm ibn Saʿīd al-Jawharī narrated to us: Ismāʿīl ibn Qays ibn Saʿd ibn Zayd ibn Thābit al-Ansārī narrated to us: Abū Hāzim narrated to me, on the authority of Sahl ibn Saʿd al-Sāʿidī, who said: We were with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, on a journey during the scorching summer heat. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, arose to bathe, and al-ʿAbbās ibn ʿAbd al-Muttalib, may Allah be pleased with him, stood shielding him from view. When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, saw him, he said: “O Allah, shield al-ʿAbbās and his children from the Fire.”
