1732 — Abū Bakr ibn Abī Dāwūd also narrated to us, saying: Yūsuf ibn Mūsā al-Qattān narrated to us, saying: Bukayr Abū Amr al-Dabbī informed me, from Mughīra, from Ibrāhīm, who said: On the day of the conquest of Mecca, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was there with al-Abbās ibn Abd al-Muttalib, with a black turban wrapped around his head. Idols stood around the House, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, began smashing them, saying, “Come now, Father!” Al-Abbās would say, “Come now, my son!” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, then said, “Whoever sees me and sees my paternal uncle has seen Abraham and Ishmael raising the foundations of the House.”
