1727 — Abū Saʿīd narrated to us: Abū ʿAlī Sālim ibn ʿAlī al-Dūrī narrated to us: Yahyā ibn Maʿīn narrated to us: Yahyā ibn al-Yamān narrated to us, from Ibrāhīm ibn al-Zibriqān, from Sālih ibn Hayyān, from Ibn Burayda, regarding the words:
“O tranquil soul.” [al-Fajr: 27]
He said, “Hamza ibn ʿAbd al-Muttalib, may Allah be pleased with him.”
Muhammad ibn al-Husayn, may Allah Most High have mercy on him, said: It has also been narrated from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that he said:
“The best of the martyrs are Hamza ibn ʿAbd ⦗2246⦘ al-Muttalib and a man who stood before an unjust ruler and forbade him from wrongdoing, whereupon the ruler killed him for doing so.”
Here ends the Virtues of Hamza, may Allah be pleased with him.
