1715 — Abu al-Qāsim al-Baghawī also narrated to us, saying: Uthmān ibn Abī Shayba ⦗2234⦘ narrated to us, saying: Ismāʿīl ibn Mujālid narrated to us, from his father, from Āmir—meaning al-Shaʿbī—from Jābir, who said: When Jaʿfar ibn Abī Tālib—may Allah be pleased with him—returned from Abyssinia, the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—embraced him.
١٧١٥ - وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ الْبَغَوِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ⦗٢٢٣٤⦘ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُجَالِدٍ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ عَامِرٍ يَعْنِي الشَّعْبِيَّ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: لَمَّا قَدِمَ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ﵁ مِنَ الْحَبَشَةِ عَانَقَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
