1707 — Abū Shuayb Abd Allah ibn al-Hasan al-Harrānī narrated to us, saying: Ali ⦗2225⦘ ibn al-Jad narrated to us, saying: Zuhayr ibn Muāwiya informed us, saying: My father said to Jafar ibn Muhammad—may Allah be pleased with them both: “I have a neighbor who claims that you disavow Abū Bakr and Umar—may Allah be pleased with them both.” He replied: “Allah disavows your neighbor! By Allah, I truly hope that Allah—Mighty and Majestic—will benefit me through my kinship with Abū Bakr—may Allah be pleased with him. Indeed, I once fell ill and entrusted my will to my maternal uncle, Abd al-Rahmān ibn al-Qāsim.”
