1703 — Abū Bakr ibn Abī Dāwūd al-Sijistānī also narrated to us, saying: Ishāq ibn al-Bahlūl al-Anbārī narrated to us, saying: Ishāq ibn al-Tabbā‘ narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Talha, ⦗2218⦘ from al-A‘mash, from Atiyya, from Abū Sa‘īd al-Khudrī, who said: The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—said: “I expect that I shall soon be summoned and will answer the call. I am leaving among you two weighty legacies: the Book of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, a rope extending from heaven to earth, and my kindred, the members of my household. The All-Subtle, the All-Aware has informed me that the two will never part until they come to me at the Reservoir. So consider how you will succeed me in your treatment of them.”
