1663 — Abū Abdullāh Ahmad ibn al-Hasan ibn Abd al-Jabbār al-Sūfī narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Rahmān ibn Sālih al-Azdī narrated to us, saying: Abū Bakr ibn Ayyāsh narrated to us, from Mūsā ibn Ubayda, from Dāwūd, who said: Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) said:

“Husayn ⦗2174⦘ (may Allah be pleased with him) entered the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he became alarmed. Umm Salama asked, ‘What is the matter, O Messenger of Allah?’ He replied, ‘Gabriel (peace be upon him) has informed me that this son of mine will be killed, and that Allah’s wrath will be fierce against whoever kills him.’”
