1654 — Abū Bakr ‘Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Hamīd al-Wāsitī narrated to us, saying: Ibn Abī Bazza, the muezzin of the Sacred Mosque, narrated to us, saying: Ja‘far ibn ‘Awn narrated to us, saying: Mu‘āwiya ibn Abī Muzarrid narrated to us, from his father, from Abū Hurayra, who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—with my own eyes and heard him with my own ears as he held Hasan or Husayn by the hand and said, “Climb up, little gnat-eye!” He then took the boy by the hand and helped him climb until he reached his mouth. He said, “Lean in,” and kissed him. Then he said, “O Allah, I love him, so love him, and love whoever loves him.”
