16 — Al-Firyābī also informed us, saying: ‘Uthmān ibn Abī Shayba informed us, saying: Jarīr narrated to us, from Mansūr, from Abū Wā’il, who said: ‘Abdullah said:

“This path is beset by devils. They stand along it, calling out, ‘O servant of Allah, come this way! This is the path!’ seeking thereby to turn people away from the path of Allah. So hold fast to the rope of Allah, for the rope of Allah is the Book of Allah.”
