Al-Shariah li-al-AjurriAl-Ajurri

1645 — And Abū Hafs ʿUmar ibn al-Hasan, the judge of Aleppo, narrated to us, saying: Abū Khaythama Musʿab ibn Saʿīd al-Missīsī narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Salama narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishāq, from ʿAmr, from al-Hasan, from Abū Bakra, who said: The Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—was praying. Whenever he prostrated himself, al-Hasan would come and climb onto his back. When the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—raised his head, he would take him ⦗2158⦘ and gently set him on the ground. Whenever he prostrated himself again, al-Hasan would climb onto his back. When he had finished praying, he took him, placed him in his lap, and began kissing him. A man said to him, “Do you treat this boy in such a manner?” He replied, “He is my fragrant flower, and it may be that Allah—Mighty and Majestic—will reconcile through him two factions among the Muslims.”
