1642 — Abu al-Qāsim Ibrāhīm ibn al-Haytham al-Nāqid narrated to us, saying: Dāwūd ibn Rushayd narrated to us, saying: Mansūr Abu al-Nasr narrated to us, saying: Mahdī narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Abī Yaʿqūb, from Ibn Abī Nuʿm, who said: I was sitting with Ibn ʿUmar when a man from ⦗2156⦘ Iraq came to him and asked him about the blood of a mosquito. He said, “Look at this man! He asks me about the blood of a mosquito, yet they killed the son of the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him. I heard the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—say: ‘They are my two fragrant flowers in this world.’”
