Al-Shariah li-al-AjurriAl-Ajurri

1639 — Abu al-Hasan Alī ibn Ishāq ibn Zātiyā informed us: Abd al-Alā ⦗2152⦘ ibn Hammād narrated to us: Hammād ibn Shuayb narrated to us, from Āsim, from Zirr, from Abd Allah ibn Masūd, who said: Al-Hasan and al-Husayn—may Allah be pleased with them both—would crawl until they reached the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—while he was in the mosque, and they would climb onto his back. Whenever one of his Companions came to remove them from him, he would gesture to him to leave them. When he had finished the prayer, he drew them to his breast and then said, “May my father and mother be ransomed for them! Whoever loves me should love these two.”
