1619 — Abū Muhammad Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn Nājiya narrated to us: Ali ibn al-Muthannā narrated to us: Ubayd ibn Ishāq al-Attār narrated to us: Muhājir ibn Kathīr al-Asadī narrated to us, from Sa‘d ibn Tarīf, from al-Asbagh ibn Nubāta, from Abū Ayyūb al-Ansārī, that the Prophet—may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him—said:
“When the Day of Resurrection comes and Allah gathers the first and the last upon a single plain, a caller will proclaim from within the Throne: ‘O all created beings! The Majestic—Glorified and Exalted is He—says: Lower your heads and cast down your eyes, for this is Fātima, daughter of Allah’s Messenger—may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him—and she is about to cross the Bridge.’”
Muhammad ibn al-Husayn—may Allah have mercy on him—said: Fātima’s virtues—may Allah be pleased with her—are numerous and illustrious. I have mentioned those that came to mind while I was in Mecca. This is followed by an account of the virtues of al-Hasan and al-Husayn—may Allah be pleased with them both. May Allah grant us and you success in doing what He loves and is pleased with.
