1609 — Abū Bakr Abd Allāh ibn Muhammad ibn Abd al-Hamīd al-Wāsitī narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Rizq Allāh al-Kalwadhānī narrated to us, saying: Uthmān ibn Umar al-Basrī informed us, saying: Isrā’īl ibn Yūnus narrated to us, from Abū Ishāq al-Sabī’ī, from Maysara ibn Habīb al-Nahdī, from al-Minhāl ibn Amr, from Aisha bint Talha, from the Mother of the Believers Aisha—may Allah be pleased with her—who said:
“I never saw anyone whose speech and manner of speaking more closely resembled those of the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—than Fātima. “She came to him during the illness from which he died. He welcomed her, kissed her, and whispered something to her, whereupon she wept. He then whispered something else to her, and she laughed. I asked her about it, and she said: ‘He whispered to me that he was going to die, so I wept. Then he whispered to me that I would be the first of his family to join him, so I laughed.’”
