1590 — Abū Bakr ibn Abī Dāwūd also narrated to us; he said: Jafar ibn Muhammad ibn ⦗2097⦘ al-Hudhayl narrated to us; he said: Yahyā ibn Abd al-Hamīd narrated to us; he said: Yahyā ibn Yalā narrated to us, from Ammār ibn Ruzayq, from Abū Ishāq, from Ziyād ibn Mutarrif, from Zayd ibn Arqam, who said: The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said:

“Whoever wishes to live as I live, die as I die, and enter the Paradise that my Lord—Mighty and Majestic—has promised me—for Allah, Exalted is He, planted its shoots with His Hand—should take Alī ibn Abī Tālib—may Allah be pleased with him—as his ally. He will never lead you away from guidance or lead you into error.”
