1578 — Abū Bakr ibn Abī Dāwūd also narrated to us; he said: Abbād ibn Yaʿqūb narrated to us; he said: Alī ibn Hishām narrated to us, from Abd al-Malik ibn Humayd, from Abū Ishāq ⦗2089⦘ al-Shaibānī, from Jamīʿ ibn Umayr, from Aisha—may Allah be pleased with her—who said: I entered upon her with my mother while I was a boy, and we mentioned Ali—may Allah be pleased with him. Aisha—may Allah be pleased with her—said: “I never saw any man more beloved to the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—than he was, nor any woman more beloved to the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—than his wife.
