1577 — Abū Bakr Abd Allāh ibn Muhammad ibn Abd al-Hamīd al-Wāsitī narrated to us; he said: Muhammad ibn Abd Allāh al-Mukharrimī narrated to us; he said: Abū al-Sarī narrated to us; he said: Yahyā ibn Abd al-Malik ibn Abī Ghanīya narrated to us, from his father, from Abū Ishāq al-Shaibānī, from Jamīʿ al-Taimī, who said: I entered upon Aisha—may Allah be pleased with her—with my mother while I was a boy, and I mentioned Ali—may Allah be pleased with him—to her. She said:

“I never saw any man more beloved to the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—than he was, nor any woman more beloved to the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—than his wife.”
