1560—Abū Abd Allāh Ahmad ibn al-Husayn ibn Abd al-Jabbār al-Sūfī narrated to us, saying: Sulaymān ibn Muhammad al-Mubārakī narrated to us, saying: Abū Shihāb—meaning al-Hannāt—narrated to us, from Nusayr al-Qurādī, from Abū Ishāq, from Amr ibn Murra, from ⦗2076⦘ Abd Allāh ibn Salama, from Ali—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: The Messenger of Allah—may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him—said to me:
“Shall I not teach you some words which, if you say them, will cause your sins to be forgiven—even if they are like the foam of the sea or as numerous as tiny ants—though you have already been forgiven? There is no deity but Allah, the Forbearing, the Generous. There is no deity but Allah, the Most High, the Magnificent. Glory be to Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Magnificent Throne, and all praise is due to Allah, Lord of all worlds.”
