1555 — Abū Bakr ibn Abī Dāwūd related to us, saying: Ishāq ibn Mansūr al-Kawsaj related to us, saying: Ubayd Allah ibn Mūsā informed us, from Isrāʾīl, from Abū Ishāq, from Hāritha ibn Mudarrib, from Ali—may Allah be pleased with him—who said: The Messenger of Allah sent me to Yemen. I said, “You are sending me to a people who are older than I am, so how am I to judge between them?” He replied, “Indeed, Allah—Mighty and Majestic—will make your tongue firm and guide your heart.”
