1536 — Abū Jafar Muhammad ibn Alī al-Kūfī also narrated to us, saying: Abbād ⦗2059⦘ ibn Yaqūb narrated to us, saying: Amr ibn Thābit narrated to us, from Yazīd ibn Abī Ziyād, from the nephew of Zayd ibn Arqam, who said: “I performed Hajj and then visited Umm Salama. She asked, ‘Where are you from?’ I replied, ‘I am from Kūfa.’ She asked, ‘Are you one of those among whom the Messenger of Allah—may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him—is reviled?’ He said: I replied, ‘No, by Allah! I have never heard anyone revile the Messenger of Allah—may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him.’ She said, ‘Is it not said, “May Allah do such-and-such to Alī and to whoever loves Alī”? Yet the Messenger of Allah—may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him—loved him.’”
