1530 — Abū Bakr Jafar ibn Muhammad al-Firyābī narrated to us, saying: Uthmān ibn Abī Shayba narrated to us, saying: Wakī ibn al-Jarrāh and Yahyā ibn Īsā narrated to us; they both said: al-Amash narrated to us, from Adī ibn Thābit, from Zirr ibn Hubaysh, from Alī ibn Abī Tālib—may Allah honor his countenance—who said: The Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—gave me this solemn assurance: “None but a believer will love you, and none but a hypocrite will hate you.”
