1526 — Abū Bakr ibn Abī Dāwūd also narrated to us. He said: Ahmad ibn Yahyā al-Sūfī narrated to us. He said: Uqba ibn Khālid Abū Amr al-Asadī narrated to us. He said: Ali ibn Qāsim al-Kindī narrated to us, from al-Muallā ibn Irfān, from Abū Wāʾil, from Abd Allah, who said: The Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said while holding the hand of Ali—may Allah be pleased with him: “This is my ally, and I am his ally. O Allah, befriend whoever befriends him, and oppose whoever opposes him. I have indeed befriended whoever befriends him and opposed whoever opposes him.”
