“O people, this Quran is the speech of Allah. Do not let me find that you have bent it to suit your whims. People’s necks have bowed before Islam, and they have entered it willingly or unwillingly. The established ways have been laid down for you, and no one has been left any room to voice an opinion—unless a servant deliberately and knowingly chooses disbelief. So follow and do not introduce innovations, for you have been given all that you need. Act according to its unequivocal passages, and believe in its ambiguous passages.”
