1521 — Abū Bakr ibn Abī Dāwūd also narrated to us, saying: Abd Allah ibn Saīd al-Kindī narrated to us, saying: Abd Allah ibn al-Ajlah narrated to us, from his father, from Talha ibn Musarrif, from Amīra ibn Kab, who said: I heard Alī—may Allah be pleased with him—call upon the people to testify: “Who heard the Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—say, ‘Whoever has me as his ally has Alī as his ally’?” Eighteen men then stood and testified that they had heard the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—say, “Whoever has me as his ally has Alī as his ally.”
