1508 – Abū Bakr ibn Abī Dāwūd narrated to us, saying: Yūnus ibn Habīb narrated to us, saying: Abū Dāwūd—that is, al-Tayālisī—narrated to us, saying: Shuʿba narrated to us, from ʿAlī ibn Zayd, from Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyib, from Saʿd—may Allah have mercy on him—who said: The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said to ʿAlī—may Allah be pleased with him: “You hold the same standing in relation to me as Aaron held in relation to Moses, except that there is no prophet after me.”
