1503 — Abū Bakr ʿAbd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-Hamīd al-Wāsitī narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn ʿAbd Allah al-Mukharrimī narrated to us, saying: Abū al-Sarī narrated to us, saying: Yahyā ibn ʿAbd al-Malik ibn Abī Ghaniyya narrated to us, from his father, from Abū Ishāq al-Shaybānī, from Jamīʿ al-Taymī, who said: I entered upon ʿĀʾisha—may Allah be pleased with her—with my mother when I was a boy. She mentioned ʿAlī—may Allah be pleased with him—to her, whereupon ʿĀʾisha said, “I have never seen any man more beloved to the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—than he was, nor any woman more beloved to the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—than his wife.”
