1495 — Abū Bakr Qāsim ibn Zakariyyā al-Mutarriz also narrated to us: Ismāʿīl ibn Mūsā narrated to us: Sharik informed us, from Abū Rabīʿa al-Iyādī, from Ibn Burayda, from his father, ⦗2030⦘ who said: The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said, “Allah—Glorious and Exalted—has commanded me to love four people.” He was asked, “O Messenger of Allah, who are they? Name them for us.” He replied, “Alī is one of them”—repeating this three times—“and He commanded me to love them and informed me that He loves them.”
