1482 — Al-Firyābī narrated to us, saying: Hudbah ibn Khālid narrated to us, saying: Hammād ibn Salamah narrated to us, from al-Jurayrī, from Abd Allah ibn Shaqīq, from Abd Allah ibn Hawālah, who said: The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said to us:
“You will suddenly come upon a man conducting a transaction, with a patterned Yemeni cloak wrapped around his head, who is one of the people of ⦗2011⦘ Paradise.”
We then suddenly came upon Uthmān, with a patterned Yemeni cloak wrapped around his head, conducting transactions with people—that is, buying and selling.
