Al-Shariah li-al-AjurriAl-Ajurri

151 — Abū Bakr ibn Abī Dāwūd narrated to us, saying: Yahyā ibn Hakīm narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Wahhāb ibn Abd al-Majīd narrated to us, saying: Ayyūb narrated to us, from Ibn Abī Mulayka, from Aisha—may Allah be pleased with her—that the Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—recited this verse: “It is He who sent down the Book to you. Some of its verses are definitive” [Āl Imrān: 7], continuing through His words, “those of understanding.” He then said, “O Aisha, when you see those who argue about it, they are the ones Allah meant, so beware of them.” This hadith has also been transmitted through chains from a number of narrators.
