1469 – Alī ibn Ishāq ibn Zātiyā also narrated to us: Abd Allah ibn Umar al-Kūfī narrated to us: Abd Allah ibn Idrīs narrated to us: Ubayd Allah ibn Umar narrated to us, from Nāfi, who reported:
“A man called Jahjāh took a staff from the hand of Uthmān—may Allah be pleased with him—and broke it over his knee, whereupon that spot was afflicted by a wasting disease.”
١٤٦٩ - وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ زَاطِيَا قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْكُوفِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ , عَنْ نَافِعٍ ,: " أَنَّ رَجُلًا يُقَالُ لَهُ: جَهْجَاهُ , تَنَاوَلَ عَصًا مِنْ يَدِ عُثْمَانَ ﵁ , فَكَسَرَهَا عَلَى رُكْبَتِهِ , فَرُمِيَ ذَلِكَ الْمَكَانُ بِأَكْلَةٍ "
