1435 — Abū Muhammad Abd Allāh ibn Sālih al-Bukhārī informed us. He said: Ishāq ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to us. He said: Marwān ibn Muāwiya narrated to us. He said: Al-Hārith ibn Rabī narrated to us, from a client of Hudhayfa, who said: When news of Uthmān’s killing (may Allah be pleased with him) reached Hudhayfa ibn al-Yamān, he began pacing about the house, on his feet and snorting, saying: “O Allah, I fear that the Commander of the Faithful may have passed away while displeased with me.”
