1423 — And Abū Ahmad Hārūn ibn Yūsuf narrated to us, saying: Ibn Abī Umar narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Razzāq narrated to us, from Mamar, from Qatāda, from Abū Uthmān al-Nahdī, from Abū Mūsā al-Asharī, who said: I was with the Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—I believe he said, “in a garden.” A man came ⦗1951⦘ and offered greetings. The Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said, “Go, admit him, and give him the glad tidings of Paradise after a severe trial.” I went and found that it was Uthmān—may Allah be pleased with him. I said, “Enter and receive the glad tidings of Paradise after a severe trial.” He kept saying, “O Allah, grant me patience,” until he sat down.
