1407 — Abū Bakr ibn Abī Dāwūd al-Sijistānī narrated to us, saying: Ishāq ibn Mansūr al-Kawsaj narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Karīm ibn Rawh ibn Anbasa ibn Saīd narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to me, from his father, from Umm Ayyāsh, from Ibn Abbās, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—say: “I gave Umm Kulthūm in marriage to Uthmān only by revelation from heaven.”
