1405 — Ahmad ibn Sahl al-Ashnānī narrated to us: Abd Allah ibn Umar, Abū Abd al-Rahmān al-Kūfī, narrated to us, saying: Husayn ibn Alī al-Jufī said to me, “Abū Abd al-Rahmān, why was Uthmān called ‘the Possessor of the Two Lights’?” I replied, “By Allah, I do not know.” He said, “No one but Uthmān—may Allah be pleased with him—was ever married to two daughters of a prophet.”
