13 — Abū Ja‘far Ahmad ibn Ishāq ibn al-Buhlūl, the judge, also narrated to us, saying: Abū Sa‘īd ‘Abd Allah ibn Sa‘īd al-Ashajj narrated to us, saying: Abū Khālid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from Mujālid, from al-Sha‘bī, from Jābir, who said: We were with the Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—when he drew a line, then drew two lines to its right and two lines to its left. He then placed his hand on the middle line and said, “This is Allah’s path.” Then he recited this verse: “And indeed, this is My straight path, so follow it, and do not follow other paths, lest they lead you away from His path” [al-An‘ām 6:153].
