1364 — Al-Firyābī narrated to us, saying: Qutaybah ibn Sa‘īd narrated to us, saying: ⦗1892⦘ Al-Layth ibn Sa‘d narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ajlān, from Sa‘d ibn Ibrāhīm, from Abū Salamah, from Aisha—may Allah have mercy on her—who said: The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—said: “There used to be inspired men among the nations. If there be anyone in my nation, it is Umar ibn al-Khattāb.”
